So after a good talk with my agency this morning and confirming with MaMa D that we are on I took the plunge and ended the match with Divine M ... I am grateful everyone feels good about it (me the agency, divine, and Mama D) Now I am FULLY invested in and focused on working towards this match with MaMa D :)
At times I feel like a stalker cause Im texting her a lot but I am just so excited about being her match :) I really enjoyed our first skyping and chat we connected well and I feel we matched personalities well :)
I texted and asked if I could write a little about her on the blog so that the readers could understand why I love this mama already. I always as permission and make sure that boundaries are set and she was gracious enough to allow me to tell you her story.
MaMa D always wanted to get married and find a man to settle down with and to have children with ... Romeo never showed up (and from my experience they are few and far between anyway) and a few years ago she felt she would pursue single mama-hood on her own, she had a well established career and had the means to support a child and wanted to fulfill her dream!. In that search she found a very large tumor in her uterus and it could not be saved. Devastated, she picked herself up and took it like a woman and just felt adoption might be the way to go! She went with an agency In Los Angeles and was scammed not once but twice by birth mothers who had pretty gnarly drug habits! Needless to say she didn't get the babies. Again heartbroken, but with her head held high she is turning to surrogacy. She is in her 40's so she didn't want to use her own eggs, she felt more passionate about using an Adopted Embryo. Adopted embryo's is something I hadn't ever heard of. When families are done with their IVF, they have the kids they want and they don't need anymore cycles, however they don't want to destroy the embryo's, that are already 5-8 days old, they adopt them out allowing another parent to have the dream of a baby!
She read my profile on Surrogate mother and saw my blog and so here we are...
I have noticed her personality is like me .. She's a get it worked on and taken care of type person :) I want to get in get it done and get out :P I have a feeling she's EXACTLY THE SAME! Some people take their time getting paperwork handled, and mozy about getting testing done.. ME .. mama D... someone wants it we get it done!! Its easiest and most efficient that way!!
Today she reached out to both her Embryo Adoption agency and her RE and both are working on getting things squared quickly :) I texted her to check to see how things were going talking with them and to let her know about the period thing if her RE needed the transvaginal or if they'll just take the SIS She texted back "No worries, I'm waiting for my agency (embryo adoption agency) to call back had to leave a vmail this morning probably will cause contract for embryo's is pending still Ahhh lawyers" LOL I love her personality :) I know she will be a great mama with her great positive attitude about everything!
She has family in town this week so we will still be in communication about the RE and Embryo adoption process touch and go. But this weekend (when they family is gone) we will be working on final contract discussions so that we can save her some money on lawyers by working out the issues with the contract with each other. That way when all the kinks are worked out the lawyers will just be doing finalization and cost her a TON less!! (cause let all be REAL HERE it doesn't matter if she's a Physician, Surrogacy is STILL BLOODY EXPENSIVE!! and any money that can be saved can go BACK to that precious baby!!)
Meanwhile back with the body ***warning TMI however necessary TMI info for Surrogacy*** I know my cycle REALLY WELL... I am due to start my period today, its slightly streaking so it will likely fully start tomorrow... the reason I mention this that RE's like to do the Interuterine ultrasound while on your period to check the thickness of your lining and to make sure that your uterus is all good to go. I actually got an SIS done already, which essentially does the same thing except they put a dye in my uterus so the Dr can see clearly ;) Which is great cause now I don't have to do the BLOODY one :P
