What I look for in IP's

This blog is both for selfish reasons and informative reasons.

Since I am looking for new IP's I thought Id put out there to the universe what Im looking for from my IP's:

• I am looking for a compassionate couple that is mentally prepared to have a healthy secure relationship with me as their surro. 
• I am looking for very frequent contact relationship- 
• I am looking for a friendship, not a business relationship 
• I expect to be text, call skype and chat about things that not only keep each other updated about the baby, but also about daily life, as a friend does. 
• Not by a forced friendship, but as a true friendship. 
• I am looking for someone who wants a natural birth. I chose not to have chemicals to the most of my ability, I believe it is safer for YOUR baby if its born with no medications no matter where the baby is born, hospital, birth center or home. 
• I would love a home birth or a Birthing center to have the baby as a water birth. 
• I am open to hospital birth if needs be or if it would make you more comfortable. but I still want natural, with no medications. 
• YES it IS your baby, but procedures done to MY body need to be a GROUP decision. 
• I don't care what pairing you have, as long as your ready: gay straight, single, married.. I don't care as long as they love each other and this baby! 
• I  will love and bend over backwards for my IP's and want them to love me just as,  much in return. 

I am willing to travel for birth- I live in Utah- which IS a surro friendly state for married couples. However Singles or gay couples I would be more than happy to travel to CA for delivery at 32 weeks for twins and 36 weeks for a singleton :)

Hello, Im Mary Ellen,
I am a single mom of 2 girls (12 years and 2 years old) I have a Surrogacy blog please visit :) http://maryellensurrogate.blogspot.com/ My last birth was just amazing I loved being pregnant and even totally Loved the delivery ! I chose Hypnobirthing as a natural safe method of birth and it was everything I wanted and
more! Here is the book I made my baby after I delivered .. I plan on making a similar book for my IP's and thier baby as my gift to them for allowing me to be in their lives :) Donna's Birth Book I wish to be known by the future child as an aunt and I will love them just as one! I am not the childs parent, and never will pretend to be but I do want to love them and you as my IP's! 
I know that for my own self I am done having children. I LOVE being a mama, and just want to give that LOVING GIFT to parents that would love to and need to as well!! I LOVED being pregnant SO MUCH and would LOVE to offer my body to help other mothers and/or fathers!! Straight or gay I don't care...as long as you are a loving HEALTHY SOLID couple!! I am LDS (mormon) and live a very natural Clean lifestyle. No smoking drinking drugs. Iam a very spiritual person and feel compelled to help another family. My IP's might often hear me say: "I need to pray about it" or "I have prayed about it" I don't require my IP's to be spiritual or even agree with my religion but atleast respect that I do. I eat organic and have a mini farm that I raise my own Chickens for eggs and goats for meat and milk. I have a VERY large all organic garden in the summer and love being in the yard its a calming place for me ;) I would like to have regular contact with and build a close life long bond with the IP's. I would encourage them to attend Doctor or Midwife Appts (in person or via skype)  and very much hope that they attend the birth!! I would even be open to a home birth at their home!! All truth be told My "ideal" situation would like the IP's to be involved in the pregnancy, and I would like to travel to them for the last month (if they don't live nearby) and allow them to experience the final month of the pregnancy WITH me :) I am VERY into natural birthing methods and would only consider medical intervention when baby or my life is at true risk! that being said I am very pro-life. I do not believe in selective reduction, and if the IP's concern with this I don't recommend more than 2 embryo's The only reason I would terminate a pregnancy would be for and extreme low quality of life for the baby, severe distortion, the baby would be born still born or vegetative or for my health. I will also be open to pumpingbreast milk for the baby as well to make sure the baby is as HEALTHY as possible for you!
I am asking $30,000 Comp plus the customary others (you cover medical, and legal, and the other traditional randoms) however it DOES include lost wages, so you will not be charged for missing work, as a therapist I make $80/ hour and I feel its not fair to charge you for lost wages. it would be way to big of a financial burden for IP's!! I am happy to do this and take a loss in pay for the baby!!   I have medical insurance  $208 / month.. $2500 deductible $7500 max payout no surro exclusions, no waiting period.
I am FULLY medically cleared, all testing completed May, 8, 2013 Physical, Pap Smear, Clearance letter by OB, Chlamydia, GC culture HIV 1 & RPR TS Hepatitis B Hepatitis C CBC CMV IgM Blood Metabolic Chem PanelBlood type A+ and Rh neg PERFECT!  I also fully passed the psychological eval August 2013.
I am a marriage and family therapist and also a health and nutrition coach. I have also been a Doula that works
with a Midwife in my town. I eat VERY healthy! Work out regularly and I have recently lost 104 pounds and getting healthier every day!! :)

Embryo adoption whoa's

Last Friday mama D got a call from the embryo adoption agency saying the embryos she had her eye on were adopted out. I'm  so sad for her. She seems at peace with it.

What was special about those embryos is that there were 9 ... all genetically related so she could do sibling journeys with them. also higher chance of baby since if defrosting therea a chance some don't survive thawing as well as if we needed to try multiple cycles we could and wouldn't have to wait for a new adoption.

The problem is they have so many single or double embies. She's hopeing for multiple embryo's. 

So in the next week shes searching through California embryo adoptions and if she can't find multiples she'll look outside of CA .. which is tricky cause the further they travel the higher chance of something screwing up and not surviving. So over all caution has to be implimented.
But as my montra in life says .. Everything happens on purpose and as it should be. Her embryos she's meant to have are out there , will be transferred into me and she will have an amazing beautiful baby. Its just a matter of finding them ...

I am at peace with that.

Off the topic .. I will have a minor procedure done today. I have a swollen Bartholonin gland that's turned into a small cyst. I've had it for almost 2 years now. Its not a big deal and It wouldn't affect the surrogacy or pregnancy. But I forsee in pregancy it could get  alittle annoying and I think it needs to be drained. And since I'm on a sex fast anyway for the surrogacy I figured I'd go ahead and get it done. ;) (after the procedure you can't have sex for 4 weeks)

Birth Control ... Eeeeeeee... first medication of the Surrogacy :)

So yesterday I got the call that I have been waiting for I've been waiting  for over 19 years!!

GOt the go ahead for the first "medication" for my surrogacy journey... something about taking medications makes it more REAL...

So its not like I'm on progesterone day 1 .. surrogacy its a rotation of medications !! Starting with birth control... Seeing as how all my TTC or Surro friends are posting pee sticks I also thought I'd post mine :P along with me BC packet :P

I took the pregnancy test to verify I am not pregnant (not that I thought I was LOL seeing as I'm not another Mary we all read about in the bible) but I think it was more so that I was jealous everyone else was peeing on  stick too LOL :P

OH CRAP .. speaking of which I need to get ontop of making ME a personalized  set of affirmations for my medication Phase :P (If you dont know what I'm talking about read about them here... ) You can order your own personalized affirmations below ..

Little Spirits Surround Inspiration!

I love having spiritual experiences! Can I just start out with that? .. well ... I do ...  :P

Today I spent at an 8 hour training with a very inspirational friend of mine. His name is DJ ( picture is with him in 2011) and every time I have ever heard him speak, its almost like my spiritual, universe oriented, christ like, GOD ears attune!!  and  I am very focused on spirit! as personal development guru  Dr. Wayne dyer says.- living inspired, by listening TO spirit.

Along with the MANY things I was inspired by today .. I was inspired to help my friend Jill with her personalizing affirmations for her transfer... As I was creating and recording the affirmations I had an overwhelming warmth and peace in my heart, that I recognized as spirit... I love feeling those deeply spiritual connections to the little souls waiting to come!!

I have such peace in my heart in this moment...and I don't want it to go away!

There is no major thing I am posting BTW.. no major surrogacy topic, not major goings on ...

just an experience...

and gratefulness for this peace and calmness I feel.

Intended Parent Affirmations for Transfer

As requested I have made coinciding Affirmations for Intended Parents that align with the Surrogate Affirmations for Surro's (click hear for that post) For the Medication-transfer-2ww time period...

I have also been asked to do personalized affirmations. Yes I will...
I have thought about cost and I have decided to do them for $40- I will make custom affirmations using your name, and create affirmations specific to your situation :intended fathers, intended mother, intended father,baby- babies, any specific fears or problems releasing allowing for your transfer to go smoothly etc. I will also have you do a few exercises to allow me to help guide you to better affirmations.  I normally charge $80 an hour for my energy and therapeutic services and this does take some time to make, record and cut the affirmations. So $40 is a pretty good deal :)

However if you want generic ones that are FREE feel free to download and use these!

The POWER of Affirmations for surro's and IP's

I STRONGLY believe in the power of affirmations.

Its something that I have KNOWN is effective in our lives and is a POWERFUL source of energy that we can harness and help our lives. Including our Surrogacy journey's!

I came to the power of affirmations with the labor of my baby DD. I used Hypnobirthing in my labor and came to the strong belief of affirmations. I listened to my Hypno Birth affirmations every night for 2 trimesters!
In Graduate school I learned how affirmations help therapy clients change their perspective of life. If we declare positivity and think positively every 5 positive thoughts negate 1 negative thought. So there fore the more positive affirmations that are put out we will naturally have less negative thoughts.
In my upline's organization in Herbalife we are taught similarly. The more positive you put into the universe the less and less negativity you have. Even moreso the universe Aligns to the intentions of those affirmations.
In my own herbalife business I have seen this happen, both to me and clients!

In the surrogacy I know that the power of Intention and affirmation is a STRONG powerful force that can be used for the greater good!

 I pulled out the old Hypnobirthing affirmations for another surro friend and as I was listening to them I realized those affirmations don't really fit surrogacy. There is a lot of  "my baby" in them and we need to have a "surro friendly" set of affirmations to listen to to allow the suros to still have the comfort of Affirmations through out the process!

SO Mary's little brain started churning :) I created a nice list of affirmations that will help with the medication IVF and 2WW time period for surro's to listen to.  I plan to create Pregnancy and Labor affirmations for Surro's and IP's.
