Day 3 in Texas

Today's post doesn't have nearly the emotional pulls of the last 2 days..I'm grateful the trip has been wonderful and the "heavy" stuff happened already, now its just hanging out and being friends now :)

In the morning Goldilocks had a Lea Sophia party, then at around noon we went to Sam's club. It was pretty fun, they ran into a friend of theirs from church, they seemed confused by the surrogacy.. that's OK we will educate them :)

 I'm pretty sure Goldilocks is sick of me taking so many pictures LOL ... so I only took a few today. 

after sam's we picked up the car and went shopping as papa Bear "hit a bucket of balls" at the golf range. It was fun shopping with her :) then we met up with papa Bear to go see Thor in 3D.. that was pretty good. Not usually my style for movie, but it was really good!  

When we got home Papa Bear and I started playing scrabble .. until about midnight..  we are kinda making that a routine LOL 

He beat me again!! If it kills me I will win ONE game to him!! 

Thoughts from pappa bear

Pappa bear weighing in. After several weeks of encountering Little Red Riding Hood's (LRRH or LRH) irrepressible enthusiasm, faith, and positive attitude Goldilocks and I have had an opportunity to meet LRH.  Goldilocks and LRH were chatting away quietly at the Temple creating such a happy spirit and aura.  We were able to go the temple where we had a great spiritual experience and a wonderful meal after.  We have all had pleasant times and GL and LRH have been able to hang out together to do some gestational activities while Pappa Bear goes off to work to gather enough honey to help support the rest of our journey together.  It's like we have all been friends for years and LRH's sweet spirit carries us forward with faith on this part of a rarely trodden path.  Very exciting. LRH's enthusiasm has also carried GL's spirit and given her new hope and excitement that at long last a bun will go in an oven and come out fully baked.  We can't wait.

Day 2 - Fertility clinic appt

So today was very fun :) 

We hung out around the house in the morning and headed to the fertility clinic around 12- got to that end of town at around 1-ish so we decided to go to lunch. After loop-da-looping a few times, cause we couldn't get to the shopping center we were trying to go to , we stumbled on another one, that was very new, very pretty and swanky :P We wanted to go for sushi for lunch. thank goodness I Yelp'd the place we were going for cause it sounded awful!! and most importantly we wouldn't have found the BEST FRENCH FOOD IN THE WORLD!! 

OMG ya'll!! If your ever in Houston .. this is a MUST GO PLACE!!

Ok so the Doctor came in and did a little exam OMG he's HOT !! Can I say that about the Dr.. oh well I DID!! ... He said lets go ahead and get started on the BCP today and then on the Dec. 2nd start the estrogen and then a week before the transfer I will start on the progesterone till transfer Dec 16-18th !! woo hoo!! I have official orders!! SWEET!! We talked a little about he PGE testing, Goldilocks and Papa Bear are very confident that she would like to do the PGE testing.

OK so that's the day... after coming home from the clinic GL and I were pretty emotionally drained. Its becoming VERY real.. to ALL of us!!  

I meet her neighbors which were both very sweet :) came back home and Papa Bear and I played scrabble till about midnight!! 

I miss my girls, but I do love being here!!  I really do feel as though these 2 are family and I cant wait to get to know them even more!! 

Fly fly away! Day 1 In texas

Morning sunshine!! Time to go change a life! 

My trip actually started on the 13th. I live about an hour form the airport so I went to St. George the night before my flight cause it was a 6 AM flight :P so I had to be there by 5 and have to get there .. and I just basically wouldnt get any sleep if I was at home. I stayed with my friend Adri, who doesn't live far from the airport. She is pregnant and due next week so it makes it a very cool beginning to the experience :P I set my alarm for 4 am and I naturally woke up at 3:45.. so I spent the next 5 mins trying to decide if I wanted to wake up or go back to sleep for 10 mins. I decided to get up :) Previous to this My nervs were just so anxious to go to Texas. but funny enough I was calm.. I listened to my affirmations for the next 10 mins till my
alarm went off. Got up, got ready and headed out.

As the plane took off I was listening to Cherie Call's song "Delivered from Heaven" even though it is a song on adoption there were some great lyrics that apply to us.
The plane took off as these lines played:
"I delivered you from Heaven From God's gentle loving care
And you entrusted him to mortals who had wished and prayed him there
And when this life's laid out before us
I hope we all can say
That we delivered this child TOGETHER
When we meet again someday
We'll deliver him back to heaven
And we'll meet you there someday"

I know that it sounds funny to have a spiritual experience on a plane but it was AMAZING! the rest of the trip was actually pretty relaxing I got there without a hitch, got on the plane and everything was great ;) here is the Picture Diary of the travel:

Ahhhhhh touch down! 

I have to wait forever to get off the plane! At least I got a row to myself! 

When I landed in Texas I got my baggage and went outside where Goldilocks was waiting for me.. funny enough she saw me, flagged me down, I came over and she said "I gotta pee!!" and ran to go potty :P lol it was funny.. I put put my luggage in the car, giggling to myself. Then 2 minutes later she opened my door of the car, scared the crap out of me, and gave me a big hug :)

I gave her the Necklace I bought her :) Its a Mysisterwifescloset Charm necklace that says Peaceful, strong and amazing. She liked it and put it on right away :)

The original plan was to go to the temple but by the time I got off the plane, got my luggage, and got in the car it was 3:45... we were NOT making the 4:00 temple session haha .. so we drove around and talked for about an hour. then got to the temple.. It was a very neat experience going to the temple with whom you know you will shortly change their lives!

She told me that Papa Bear would be meeting us at the Temple.

We went in, changed, talked on the couches and waiting for Papa Bear at the top of the stairs. We talked to the temple matron for a couple minutes. Then he came up the stairs, it was a very special moment to have all 3 of us standing in the temple together. Indescribable. Other very neat experiences happened in the temple, which I don't feel are appropriate to share here.. but It was very neat and confirmed to me yet again this is the RIGHT thing!

We went to a very cool little Mexican Restaurant after and then went home. I went up to my room, put my stuff away. and brought them down a little bag of gifts. I love giving presents and tend to shop when I'm nervous. Here are some pictures of the gifts I gave them :)
